Calvin, does "wu wei" means do nothing? inaction? trying not to try? Once my British friend asked me about the main concept of Daoism. Then I checked some English book about wu wei, mostly they just use the direct translation missing the philosophy of "Dao de chin 道德經".

This means let things developed by their natural way, don't control it by your will. I know it's hard to understand by the western logical brain. What you have been taught is everything can be explained by science. In fact, there'are too many things cann't to be expained by that.
For example, can you explain "氣 Qi" in Daoism? How does it generated? Is there a chemical equation for Qi?

Qi, is a kind of energy flow fullfilled in nature, not only exsists in-between humans but also creatures and elements. Things can be easily changed by it. Osho said everything besides you is nature, the only thing you can control is yourself. As everybody know, the thing never be changed is changing. There're always bias in natural law.
So why do you still try to against the nature? Since we were kids, we've been incalcuted with desires from our family. They have lots of expectations on you.
The difference between expectations and reality.
Expectations are what we think will happen, while reality is what actually transpires. While we hope these two will match up, they often don't. This difference between expectations and reality can often lead to feelings of discontentment and unhappiness.
That's why "wu wei" become so important in this rapid, uncertain time. Because I pratice yoga and there're some mindsets can help you to get into it.
Awareness/self-conscious:Foucs on your body and mind, reconozied what's in your brain.
Acceptance:Noone is perfect, practice makes you better, appreciate what you have.
No comparison:Don't compare to the others, you're who you're.
Follow the flow:Alway remain your mind calm, no matter how shit happens.
